Coffee course for coffee lovers
From the cultivation of the coffee plant, through the raw bean to the cup: the coffee bean has a long journey. In this workshop you will learn everything about the bean. In this coffee course we take you on a journey through the world of coffee. Learn all about the history and cultivation of the noble beans over a cup of coffee. Experience the journey of the raw beans through our backyard roastery in Wiesbaden and learn everything about the diverse flavors at a professional tasting.
What you will learn in this workshop:
In our coffee course you will get a detailed insight into the world of a specialty coffee roastery and learn more about the philosophy and production of the Maldaner coffee roastery.
- history of coffee
- Botany, harvest, cultivation and processing of coffee
- What effects different roasting processes have on the taste
- During cupping you taste the coffee and experience the variety of tastes
- Perceiving and distinguishing individual taste nuances
After attending the course you will know:
- How coffee is grown and processed
- What different degrees of roasting there are and how to distinguish between them
- How to distinguish the taste nuances of different coffees
- How to properly store & prepare your coffee

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours
Level: Private individuals & company groups who would like to learn more about coffee and gain an insight into the production. No previous knowledge is necessary for this coffee course, all you need is an interest in coffee and the background
Location: The workshop takes place in our roastery in Wiesbaden, Hellmundstraße 37 in the rear building.
By the way: All workshop participants receive a 10% discount on our coffee range on the day of the workshop.
